In our region bee-keepers are in their element, with particularly
favourable conditions for producing high quality honey : a wide
variety of wild-growing flowers, generous amounts of sunshine
and an untouched natural environment.
The best known is amber coloured lavender honey, with its
delicate incomparable taste. You should also try rosemary honey
so typical of Haute-Provence and the all-flowers honey sold
by mountain bee-keepers. Many producers also sell royal jelly,
nougat, gingerbread, mead, and even honey jam.
