Conditions in the Alpes de Haute-Provence are ideal for the
growth of organic farming.
This jewel of an area where nature is protected to the utmost
has most of the required criteria. Although there are only a
small number of organic producers at present, the results so
far can be considered extremely promising. You can taste the
following organic produce : fruit, vegetables, spelt wheat,
lamb, cheese, etc. Most of the producers are located on the
Forcalquier plateau.
