The Alpes de Haute-Provence are renowned for production
of winter fruits, especially apples and pears. Their excellent
taste is the result of a perfect combination of land and climate.
Part of the production is transformed into fruit juices. The
slightly acid sweet taste of fruit ripened in the best possible
conditions is to be found in the various nectars : apple, pear,
apple-strawberry, apple-raspberry, etc.
Jams also form an important part of Haute-Provence tradition.
Whether they are made using traditional or semi-industrial methods,
they reflect ancestral know-how that brings out the best in
our fruit.
