Saint-Jean-Montclar is a village resort on a human scale, offering two skiing areas (Blanche valley, Ubaye Valley) with 45 km of downhill skiing and 15 km of Nordic ski touring routes.
It has 32 marked pistes for all levels (4 black, 9 red, 13 blue, 5 green), with an altitude difference of 1200 m. The skiing area is equipped with 16 ski lifts (4 chair lifts/12 ski tows/2 babyskis). You will like Saint-Jean-Montclar because of its warm friendly atmosphere and its mountain village feel. It has been awarded the official label a "Mountain Village". Artificial snow over several hectares between 1350 and 1600 m.

To get to Saint-Jean-Montclar By road • From Paris : via Lyon, Grenoble, Gap over Bayard pass or Lus-la-Croix-Haute pass. After Gap, follow signs to Barcelonnette then take the D900 road, following signs to Digne-les-Bains and Seyne-les-Alpes • From Marseille : by motorway, either : take the Sisteron exit, then via Tallard, following signs to Barcelonnette then take the D900 road, following signs to Digne-les-Bains and Seyne-les-Alpes or take the Peyruis exit, and follow the signs to Digne-les-Bains, then Barcelonnette. • From Avignon : via Apt, Forcalquier then follow signs to Digne-les-Bains or Sisteron.
