 The
Departmental Path and Hiking Association (ADRI)
was created in 1977 by the Prefect of the Alpes
de Haute-Provence to give the departmental footpath
committee a legal status and financial resources.
ADRI was initially run by a team of unpaid enthusiasts,
but has gradually taken on professional qualified
staff.
Over the last 22 years, ADRI has developed a network
of paths and tracks covering almost 5,000 km. Most
of the routes are footpaths, but pony-trekkers and
mountain bikers will also find routes specially
devoted to them.
ADRI has published a series of more than 25 leaflets
describing the paths in the "département",
alone or in collaboration with the French hiking
association, (FFRP).
